Hello Professor:


We hope you are enjoying the summer.  KnowThis Media would like to thank you again for requesting an examination copy of KnowThis: Marketing Basics.  At the time of your request we noted that several additional features would soon be available.  This email is intended to provide you with an update on these features:

  • The website redesign of KnowThis.com is finished and has a completely new look.  For students and instructors a key change is how we handle the Marketing Stories feature.   Our new approach to Marketing Stories is to present these not only as a listing, as we have done for many years, but to also present these within a blog posting enabling us to add more extensive comments.  Additionally, we are testing out the inclusion of questions after each story posting.  We believe instructors may find value in using these as discussion points in their classes.  Students and instructors can subscribe to the RSS feed so that updates will be received automatically.
  • The instructor Blog feature is now available.  The blog will be housed on KnowThis.com and you will be given a unique web address.  The blog allows for visitor comments (moderated) and for RSS feeds.  If you have adopted the book and are interested in the Blog feature please contact us.
  • The Forum feature is currently not ready for release.  When we initially released it we ran into a few issues and have temporarily removed it.  We do hope to have this available very soon.

Just a reminder that all instructors who have requested an examination copy have been given access to the first 5 chapters of PowerPoint slides for the book.  You can access the slides by logging into the instructor section of the book website located at:

Use the login information previously sent to you.  If you need help with logging in please contact us.

If you have decided to adopt the book and want access to all slides and also want to use the Blog feature and Forum when available, you will need to let us know.  Again you can do this through our contact page.
