Provide a discussion of how and by whom the plan will be carried out. (Length: 1-2 pages)

  • Detailed schedule of tasks and those responsible:
    • Breakdown by important tactical marketing decisions
      • Best presented in a Gantt chart format.
    • Identify those responsible for each important task:
      • If unsure leave generic
        • e.g., advertising agency, web hosting company, distributors, etc.

  2. A lot of this will depend on the business/industry for which the plan is being created. For Measurements the best place to include this is in the Performance Analysis section since this appears to be associated with determining how the decisions are working. Issues covered should be pretty straight forward as indicated in that section of the tutorial. As for layout, standard tables could be used. Controls could be discussed in a few places but are probably best handled in the Implementation section. Here you may want to talk about what controls are being used, why these are being used, how these are triggered and what will happened if these are triggered.
  3. I have been asked to include measurements and controls' in my plan. Where would you place this, and how do you suggest layout, method of measurement?
  4. I was giving workshop about "How to prepare a Marketing Plan" for many years. I found that this is the most practical format of Marketing Plan. Thanks
