Advisory Commission On Electronic Commerce Report to Congress The commission was charged with investigating and reporting the effects e-commerce has on tariffs and taxation. The site includes a full draft of the final report which was delivered to the U.S. Congress in April 2000 and a nice library of sources used to gather data for the report. The committee was disbanded after release of the report but the report may still prove useful for some researchers.

Alexa This site, which provides website rankings and traffic information, is often referred to as a leading provider of website metrics. However, their methods for tracking visitors are probably not as robust, and thus not as accurate, as higher quality commercial services especially for those sites listed outside the top 500 or so. Accessing top 100 sites by country is free as is list of global 500 but will need to pay for more. But you can locate traffic for any single site by entering its address.
