1 Alacra
Directed primarily at the corporate and investment researcher, the data sources found in this service are impressive and include access to company and industry profiles, market research reports, business news and much more. While much of what is offered is subscription-based and is expensive, a recent new option called AlacraStore does allow for purchase of individual reports and includes good search feature.

5 DowJones Factiva
Provides access to thousands of publications, company information. The cost is fairly reasonable for individual users, however, access to commercial market research reports is limited.
6 eMarketer
This research provider focuses mostly on Internet and technology markets. They are considered research aggregators since they gather statistics presented in research reports produced by other sources and then present their own take on what is happening. Basic abstracts and some stats are free, detailed reports are fee based.
7 Euromonitor
Publishes in both print format and online many reports dealing with market intelligence in numerous industries. These publications include several global market share reports as well as studies of specific product markets. However, all reports are very expensive and most likely only available to the well-funded researcher. To find a report for individual use the best bet is to locate the name of the report at Euromonitor then enter the report's name in an Internet search engine but filter search results to only search nearby universities. In this way users can see if the report is available locally.
8 Forrester

Also, for those researching industry or company history there is an archive of defunct companies that Hoovers once covered but have either been bought out or have closed their doors. Unfortunately, this Business Boneyard feature is not easy to access and only available if the company name is known.
12 Housewares MarketWatch
