Amazon’s Private Label Products

Amazon Is Selling Designs of Its Own (Wall Street Journal)

Private label products are huge for most big name retailers so it is no surprise Amazon is building its own line of products. Though it is a bit of a surprise that they already have so many “build to our specs” products.

Amazon doesn’t say what percentage of its $19 billion in annual sales are from its private-label business, but it already sells more than 1,000 products that are manufactured at its request.

As Amazon continues to evolve, will it ever have brick-and-mortar stores?
